Yet apparently the About page of Picard says "aiff, aif, aifc, mp3, mp2, m2a, tta, mpc, mp+, wv, ofr, ofs, ape, tak, flac, oggflac, spx, ogg, opus, oga, ogv, m4a, m4b, m4p, m4v, mp4, wma, wmv, asf, wav".

It would probably make sense to list all of those in the FAQ, so people won't think we don't support their pet format if we do.
