This should be fairly straightforward (just selecting from release.name instead of joining release_name and using release_name.name, for example); the basic bits of the schema and such are in the schema-changes-2013-10-15 branch now; the remaining review is for the pgtap tests and for reports, neither of which should affect search. Across the board, the rule is that columns that formerly referenced any of the _name tables, as integers, are now varchar columns holding the actual name.
