Hi,
Searching for the artist "Mai Mai Mai" (via the web interface) doesn't appear at top of the returned search results as expected. It gets a score of 93 (indexed) and 100 (direct), but there are a lot of "Mai"-like artists above it.
I have tried with quotes around it, but it has no effect.
Normally, I wouldn't care too much about this, but I think when users are adding a release and come to selecting the artist for a given track the searched artist won't appear (initially) and, as a consequence, the user may create a new artist (duplicate) - which is what has probably happened here (there now two "Mai Mai Mai" artists in the database).
Is it not possible to elevate direct matches to the top of the returned search results?
- at least to make it easier for users to lookup artists when entering new releases.
Regards,
Kyle
