Given the heavy requirements to maintain a slave search server, it could be interesting to some mirrors with limited needs to ignore some search indexes at purpose. For example, recording search index requires a lot of resources that could be saved if unneeded locally. It is already possible to rebuild specific search indexes using --entity-type option, but it is not possible to live update specific search indexes.
A pair of trails:
- Database triggers could be deleted/not installed if unneeded. (Doable already with a bit of SQL skills.)
- Messages could be ignored if unneeded.
