      A cappella music is characterized by a lack of instrumental accompaniment. The styles can range from chorus-like recordings, solo singing, or numerous techniques used by some modern artists which involve singing multiple tracks and stitching them together into multi-layered pieces.

      [EDIT] Following @Frederik's comment, I fixed the spelling from "acapella" to "a cappella", and also suggest "acapella" and "a capella" aliases be added, since they are both very commonly used.
