The Mainly Norfolk website (https://mainlynorfolk.info/folk/about.html) is widely-regarded in the folk music scene in the UK. (Please note I actually can't find any page directly spelling this out, but the website is often cited on musicians albums as a source, e.g. in the 'thanks to' section; it's widely cited on mailing lists like the mudcat.org site and usenet forums etc.)
It is a privately-run site which gathers information about mostly English folk music, although there's a lot of music from Scotland and Ireland there too. In some cases it's the only resource on the internet with a given lyric or information about a song and who sung it. Currently, I can't attach it to works where it would be really valuable; I've put it in the edit note but that's not quite as effective in my view.
Given the above I think it is reasonable to get it added as a source of lyrics; this would be a nice extension as it is already added to the database whitelist when adding albums which is really helpful when I'm looking up a given release or release group.
The owner of the site does not post lyrics without permission from the artists and will remove infringing items. There are various lyrics pages where it is noted that they didn't have permission to post a given lyric e.g. https://www.mainlynorfolk.info/john.kirkpatrick/songs/johnball.html ('Sorry, I can't show the lyrics here as I don't have the copyright owners' permission to publish them. But please feel free and ask me to send you the song's lyrics.')
