This isn't a Japanese-only thing, but similar to Capitalization, the practice is so universal that I think a blanket rule is appropriate, as it otherwise comes up over and over again in edits. The examples provided here are not supposed to be controversial to native Japanese users.
Use the text form of names and titles rather than what the graphic design looks like. It is common for Japanese names and titles to have an intended plain text form that differs from the appearance of a logo.
Examples:
* "アイドルマスター", or "THE IDOLM@STER", are the correct ways to type the native Japanese script version of the title that has a logo that looks like "the iDOLM@STER". (Official names/titles of releases using Latin script intentionally use uppercase "I" rather than the stylized lowercase "i". In other contexts, the name/title is intentionally written in Katakana instead of Latin script.)
* "いとうかなこ" is the correct way to type the native Japanese script version of the name of the artist who uses a logo that looks like "ITOKANAKO". (Official text written by the artist/label intentionally write the artist's name in Hiragana.)
