Satanic Power Metal is a new subgenre created to describe a type of polemical metal that uses nuances of Power/Black/Heavy metal riffs but mainly of melodic death metal, and could even be framed in symphonic metal, however the theme always approaches occultism, satanism and sometimes depression, exploring lyrics completely turned to black metal. It would not qualify as such because the voice used to perform the songs carries a lot of softness, discouragement and sadness that is often mixed with a happy rhythm of power metal. That's why this category does not fit in any other, as they all require a minimum level of vocal aggressiveness, and this particular style highlights a morbid vocal style. The first example of this style is portrayed by a band that uses exactly this type of sound and voice, the Portuguese group Master Dy, has taken on this unique sound and vocal style.
