to more definitively differentiate between the new dubstep (brostep, riddim, etc.) from classic 90s sub bass dubstep. it's a term I've seen used several places, but we could use another, like classic dubstep or maybe UK dubstep (though not substep, as that seems to be a different subgenre of brostep? haven't gotten that far)
