it's not a common grouping of releases, but at least two artists group their own releases into "eras", sometimes with distinct styles or sounds

• Vylet Pony lists eras in their Canon Catalogue (see also their Eras Update video)
• Taylor Swift recently showcased her different eras on the Eras Tour, see also Wikipedia. (this one might simply be by album, I'm not as familiar with her work)
