Following-up this discussion at the MB Style ML: http://musicbrainz.1054305.n4.nabble.com/How-to-enter-hybrid-SACD-and-DVD-audio-video-discs-td4669680i20.html I propose a clarification of the guidelines concerning DVDs:

• the entire audio and video content of the DVD shall be put into a single medium
• stereo audio, multichannel audio and videos shall be represented by separate recordings
• the tracklist shall include separate tracks for all pieces of stereo and multichannel audio and all videos
• if the DVD includes songs and videos with the same titles an ETI like " (video)" shall be added to the track titles of the video tracks
• if the DVD includes the same songs or videos in different audio formats a format ETI like " (5.1 mix)" shall be added to the track titles of the multichannel tracks
• non-audio or video content shall not be included

I also propose to apply http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/User:Hawke/Proposal/Track_numbering (separate ticket: STYLE-121) and represent the DVD menu structure as soon as MBS-6680 is implemented.
