Background:
www.musicapopular.cl is a website about Chilean music (in all forms including rock and folk music) that has been around for 10 years. It is run by an editorial committee of journalists and has financial support from the Chilean Fomento de la Música Nacional. It has bio listings for thousands of artists. Each bio page contains a discography for that artist. Their database is fairly complete and I use it frequently when adding and/or making corrections to Chilean artists.

The links to the artist bio pages can have one of two formasts:
