Many works, especially in hip-hop & pop, show on releases as "Containing elements of [work]" An attribute for this as a work-work relationship would be helpful, especially if the recording doesn't use a sample of another recording, but the previous work is part of the current work. It's not really a revision or based on the previous work, it just uses some passages from that work in the new one.
