At present you can enter a work-work relationship to describe "work1 is part of work2".

In some cases, there can be several (4 or more) levels of these relationships i.e. "work1 is part of work2", "work2 is part of work3", ""work3 is part of work4" etc.

When you display a release on the web site or e.g. Picard gets data for a release from the webservice, then if a recording is of work1, only the relationship with work2 is provided, and not a relationship to the top-level work(s).

In some cases, people have created a work-work part-of relationship between the bottom and top works in order to get this information displayed e.g. https://musicbrainz.org/work/02b6065e-db8e-486f-ac8e-1d964418c150

This ticket is to propose a new work-work relationship "part of overall" / "overall parts" to allow a direct relationship to be made between recording work and the overall work(s) which can be distinguished from the normal "part of" relationship.
