Sites like Rateyourmusic, Redacted, Topsters, all have collages.
Collages are a collection of albums, displayed in the form of an album art grid.
These serve as a social feature, as people will share and compare collages, create collages to introduce genres, etc.
They often also allow:

- tagging (https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/MBS-11567)
It would be interesting to see Collections extended to add similar functionality.
This would integrate well with CritiqueBrainz, and MusicBrainz as a more social platform.
