On all entity pages, if the entity has pending edits, an "Open edits" link is displayed above "Editing history".
Let's take the example of artist.
The problem is that the link is displayed if artist.edit_pending is not zero.
However it should instead be displayed if edit_artist has no open edits for this artist.
artist.edit_pending is indeed only changed for edit types strictly related to artist, e.g. editing artist name, adding an artist alias. But not when you're adding a release credited to this artist.
Thus current situation is that artist often has open edits, but not direct link is displayed.
