from http://bugs.musicbrainz.org/ticket/3957 about Polish
I noticed that there is wrong order of Polish letters in alphabet. The letters a and ą, c and ć, e and ę, l and ł, n and ń, o and ó, s and ś, z, ż and ź should be treated as different letters - not like u and ü in German.
Examples:
If we have two words:
AC and ĄB they are sorted now in order ĄB first and AC second, but order should be AC first and ĄB next
or three words:
ZC, ŻB and ŹA now they would be sorted in order ŹA, ŻB and ZC, but correct order would be ZC, ŻB, ŹB.This "strange" letters aren't accents, but completely different letters not related to the "basis" letter. So whole order should look:
a ą b c ć d e ę f g h i j k l ł m n ń o ó p (q) r s ś t u (v) w (x) y z ź ż
More here - it's not very good article, but enough to this purpose.I hope that is clear enough to make proper changes.
If this is possible, it would be nice once we have a translated website (e.g. use the site in Polish -> things are sorted using Polish ordering)
