It would be nice to have a way to lock artist names. It is tiresome to rehearse settled decisions with new editors that think that their capitalization or version of the artist name is the best and MB is wrong, and it is even more annoying if the change passes unnoticed and it needs to be done once again.

A mechanism similar to the one used for releases with what we now call "high data quality" (votes to lock, many votes to change) would be perfect.
