When the inline search is used, as I am typing, the search often lags behind what I am trying to find.

So if I am searching for "Piedmont Wind Symphony": I type "Piedmont" and the system starts searching. I finish typing "Wind Symphony" and by this time the "Piedmont" search has finished. It found the one I'm looking for, so I click it. However, since the search started again as I typed the remainder of the name, then the search dropdown re-appears after I've selected a name. Sometimes I'll accidentally click it because I am working elsewhere in the UI...and we're off to the races again and I have to re-enter that artist. It would be better if the system would stop any active searches as soon as the user makes a selection from the dropdown.
