As mentioned in MBS-4888 [1]:
Currently, query strings are stripped out of all relationship types (instead of excepting Release-URL relationships, as indicated in the issue description). This in itself is a bug, though there would generally still be an issue with Release-URL relationships:
If one, for example, navigated to the NLA work page http://trove.nla.gov.au/work/9438679 (to us, a Release Group), then navigated to the first listed edition (to us, a Release), the edition URL would look like this: http://trove.nla.gov.au/work/9438679?q&sort=holdings+desc&_=1346311653315&versionId=44854390 - "selectedversion=NBD11701020" won't actually be appended to the URL, unless it is the only edition of the work. Aside from that, it doesn't seem to be a regular format (see: http://trove.nla.gov.au/work/163710586?versionId=178480216 ).
Thus, I think it's better to stick to the persistent citation URLs, e.g. http://nla.gov.au/anbd.bib-an10936546 for all entities (except works, which don't have a persistent ID).
URL formats:
Label, Artist: http://nla.gov.au/nla.party-[integer]
e.g. http://nla.gov.au/nla.party-1448035
Release Group: http://trove.nla.gov.au/work/[integer]
e.g. http://trove.nla.gov.au/work/9438679
Release: http://nla.gov.au/anbd.bib-an[integer]
e.g. http://nla.gov.au/anbd.bib-an11701020
