For releases where the recording is linked multiple times (e.g. a vinyl release which comes with a CD copy), creating a new work using the relationship editor will multiply that work times the number of references to the recording. It does not do this until the edits are submitted (that I noticed), so the user has no way of knowing that the relationships are going to be duplicated.
