This is a suggestion to suspend the review process for newly created entries (releases, discs, etc) for a short time sufficient for the user entering the new data to correct errors in the short term.
The inspiration for this came from my recent and first experience with the database. I added a new work and was allowed to enter anything in all fields without review. This is because the fields were entered for the first time. When I went to correct a mistake I made minutes before, the change became an official edit, subject to the review process. So basically a new entry is available immediately, but if you make a mistake, now you gotta wait a week. That is counter productive.
Specifically the field giving me grief was a medium title ( disc title )
My suggestion is that a new entry can be edited without voting ( immediate approval ) for some time ( 5 min? 15 min? 1hr? ). These edits could perhaps be further restricted to the origial user creating the new entry, for security.
