Picard should be more resilient if it gets invalid responses from servers

      Currently Picard assumes in many cases a given structure for web service responses. If a web service should send parseable but invalid data, e.g. in case of a JSON response just an empty "{}" without required fields, Picard will crash.

      Review Picard's usage of external services and make the error handling more resilient.
