all (but specifically OSX in my case)
So, no matter what you have configured for "Preferred release type" under Picard's Metadata config menu... you're still going to need to manually check each looked-up release in the right pane, right click on a release, carefully scroll down the menu to "Other versions", and then see if this is the correct one.
That's a lot of tedious clicking and fine muscle movement, and it just takes a lot of time.
What would be nice, is a way to see which release, out of all the possible releases (basically all the "Other versions" menu data), without a bunch of careful clicking and scrolling (on my MacBook's trackpad). Maybe it's easier with a mouse, but it's a pain to do this stuff on a laptop.
If this "Other versions" info was displayed in a new pane, or window, or something, all that time, that would work... but also just having a single keystroke which would bring up the display of this information, that would be much faster and easier than a bunch of clicking and squiggling just right on a trackpad.
