As Picard can be seen as a music management tool, a valid user story should be that a user decides they don't want to keep a file(s) anymore. For example because they realized they have duplicate releases and only want to keep the release with the highest quality.
At the moment you cannot remove these files from disk using Picard, so removing those files is a two-step process which is error prone as the user has to double check that the file they are removing using the OS'es file explorer is really exactly the same as the file listed in Picard.
- to avoid confusing and to protect existing users, maybe add a global option to enable deleting files from disk
- alternatively, instead of removing files support moving files to a Picard specific Trash folder
