Currently in Picard when one drags a recording around one sees the begining of the file path (e.g. `file:///MyHD/...`). This isn't very useful information, since the beginning of the file path is the same for every file. Instead the drag display should show just the whole file name. This will provide more context to users trying to ensure they are moving the correct file around (especially when the file in question has tags that don't match the filename).

[PICARD-664] When dragging a recording, show the actual file name instead of the path

No, it's not a tooltip. Tooltips look completely different in OS X from that. In this case, the drag representation of a file is the path name.

I just called it a tooltip because it looks like one. Actually I don't mind how it is called on OSX, the point is that it is not present on other platforms which makes it hard to impossible to me to debug and fix this. I hope some other developer with access to OSX can look into it.

I tested this on all OSX, Linux and Windows. This behavior is only existent on OSX (the other platforms don't display a tooltip while dragging, just a selection icon).

I don't know whether this can be influenced, though, and I have no proper OSX development box to do some testing on this. That's why I had hoped to reproduce this on other platforms

Thanks for the info. This really is not shown on Linux, that's why I didn't see it I will have a look at this on my Windows machine and see if it is visible there. Not sure if this can be influenced, though.

While the cursor is not captured, you can see what information is being displayed as part of the file drag.

It is attached to the hotpoint of the cursor when I drag a file. It is the first 20 or so characters of the path. The cursor wasn't captured as part of the screenshot, but you can see how it displays the file information when dragging.

Maybe stupid question, but where is the path displayed while dragging? Maybe this is platform specific and not visible on Linux, or I just don't see it

Otherwise I agree with you and how it should be changed.
