Current guidelines suggest adding a release group and release for every episode of a radio program.

      https://musicbrainz.org/doc/Style/Specific_types_of_releases/Broadcast_programs

This is unnecessary because a broadcast is not a type of release but rather a relationship between a standalone recording and a broadcaster.

Current guidelines suggests this as the title of the release:

2012-06-30: A Prairie Home Companion #1348: Koussevitzky Music Shed, Lenox, MA, USA

But this is a better representation of the data:

      A Prairie Home Companion #1348

                broadcast by: NPR (on 2012-06-30)

recorded at: Koussevitzky Music Shed, Lenox, MA, USA (on 2012-06-30)

part of: A Prairie Home Companion (number: 1348)

This would really help to simplify some of the current confusion about broadcasts and eliminate the need of adding fake broadcast releases.

Additionally, other sites which host data about episodic radio programs (for example, British Comedy Guide and BBC Radio) also include the dates of original and repeat broadcasts. A broadcast by credit would allow for this type of data to be stored whereas the current guidelines would require additional releases for each broadcast.

Also, while this is primarily helpful for episodic radio it could also be used for music shows as well.

      2023-11-07: Example Music Show

                hosted by: DJ Name

                part of: Radio Series

recorded at: Radio Station (on 2023-11-07)

broadcast by: Radio Station (on 2023-11-07)

                DJ Mix of: Song One

                commentary for: Song One

Label seems to be the most appropriate relationship type but I suppose a Place or Area could also work.

      A Prairie Home Companion #1348

                broadcast by: WFMU (on 2012-10-15)

broadcast at: WFMU in East Orange, New Jersey, United States (on 2012-10-15)

broadcast in: East Orange, New Jersey, United States (on 2012-10-15)

Because this is at the recording level, it won't affect any of the current guidelines and can easily be retroactively applied to already existing broadcast recordings.
