BPM field for recordings would be a nice feature. Electronic music webstores like beatport.com and junodownload.com provide this information on their product pages ([1] [2]). BPM can also be calculated relatively easily using software (depending of the genre, for example it is not very accurate/useful for classical music).

beatport & junodownload arent super accurate, off by 1 or 2 bpm is quite common & often you have to multiply or divide by 1.25, 1.333, 1.5, 1.666 or 2 to get the actual value. bpm also doesnt have to be an integer but these stores always round to an integer

At the 2012 summit, one of the things we talked about with regards to "dynamic attributes" were things like keys and BPM for recordings.

Do you know of any software to calculate this? I'm slowly starting to tag available recordings with "bpm: $bpm", but I only have the BPM for recordings where it's documented on the release or otherwise.
