Right now, the edit artist page has a list of artist credits the artist is used in, but the only changes you can make are to update the artist credits to use the current artist name as the credited name. If you want to make any other changes, such as fixing join phrases or splitting artist credits, you have to do that separately via the individual links on the aliases tab (which people often don't know exist).

We could add an edit link or button next to the artist credits which would open a full artist credit editor (possibly in a popup dialog like relationships use), allowing us to make all the same changes currently possible via the individual pages.

If we do that, that would probably also mean we no longer need the buggy and confusing split artist page either, since you could just edit the artist credit from the main edit page and at the same time remove any relationships that need removing in order to delete the artist. That would probably resolve MBS-3510, MBS-3703 and MBS-6742 (along with some other unreported problems for it) while reducing the number of editing pages even more.
